Lou Dobbs laments Skeletor's metaphor. (with poll)

Tue May 16, 2006 at 03:53:03 PM PDT

Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff, aka Brownie's Boss, but best known as Skeletor, was just bitch-slapped over an incredibly poor choice of metaphor by Lou Dobbs on CNN.

according to Lou,
"Chertoff has found a new and unusual way to describe the President's guest worker proposals:"

cut to Chertoff:

"It's like I'm trying to dam a river.
If you build a dam & you don't have a spillway to drain off some of the excess water in a way that's productive,
you will eventually have to keep building the dam higher & higher or the dam will break.
We have to have a spillway for some of this economic pressure, and that's a temporary worker program."

At this, Lou then makes his swift assessment:

"If i may say, one of the more lamentable metaphors that emanated from this city,
in which many lamentable metaphors originate."
